Rothluebber finishes tied for 11th at ASC Championships
HORSESHOE, Texas – LeTourneau University's Spencer Rothluebber shot a final-round 75 to finish tied for 11 th during Tuesday's American Southwest Conference Men's Golf Championships at Horseshoe Bay Resort.
Rothluebber, who had a 77 during the first round and a 75 for the second, finished the tournament with a two-day total of 227. For the two days, Rothluebber shot even on the par-3s.
UT-Tyler's Brandon Ellis won the tournament with a 68-68-73—209. Michael Goldwater of Concordia-Texas placed second with a 217, followed by Elliott Bingham (Mississippi College) and Joey Rippel (UT-Tyler) in third with 222s.
In the team scoring, UT-Tyler captured the title with an 876 – 34 strokes better than Mary Hardin-Baylor, which took second with a 910. Schreiner took third with a 914.
Rothluebber was named to the All-American Southwest Conference Second Team.
