TENNIS: LeTourneau men and women crush Fontbonne by identical 9-0 scores
ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The LeTourneau tennis teams concluded their weekend trip to the greater St. Louis area by clobbering Fontbonne by identical 9-0 scores Saturday.
The YellowJackets teams both went undefeated during their three matches in the Midwest.
The teams handled Fontbonne with ease Saturday, as every singles match in both the men's and women's dual matches went the required two games.
Carlos Cantu and Josh Bailey both notched 6-0, 6-0 wins in singles play for the LeTourneau men (6-1). Sindre Johnsgaard and Kendall Beggs enjoyed an 8-0 victory in Flight 3 doubles play.
On the women's side, Sarah Case, Shelby May, Ali Goodwin and Kayla Bonina posted 6-0, 6-0 wins during their singles matches. Miranda Lamb and April McCamey won their deciding sets by score of 6-0 as the LeTourneau women enjoyed their finest dual match of the season.
The YellowJackets women's team improved to 5-3 with the victory.
The LeTourneau tennis teams will next be in action Saturday, March 10, when they visit Conway, Ark. for a pair of dual matches against Hendrix College and John Brown University.
